Using Icenator to Remove Snow
As far as we know, our product is the strongest liquid deicer available. However, it is not a replacement for snow shovels, snow blowers and blades.
Ice and snow are two different animals. You would expect that Icenator would melt snow as it falls until the Icenator becomes too diluted to continue working, but that's not what usually happens. Snow is fluffy and full of air pockets. These pockets form bridges over the top of the Icenator layer. The result is that much of the the snow does not remain in contact with the deicer. When you remove the snow, there is still active product beneath it. Icenator keeps the snow from bonding to the road surface, aiding in snow removal.
If you spray half of your driveway with Icenator before a 2" snow fall, after the storm you will probably see no difference in the treated half versus the untreated half - until you remove the snow with a shovel or blade. Then you will see that the snow is melting underneath. If you walk or drive across the treated the area you will crush the snow into contact with the deicer and those foot prints or tire tracks will melt.
If you plan to use deicers alone to remove snow, then you are probably going to be disappointed. Icenator is a powerful weapon to add to your arsenal in the fight against snow and ice, but like any deicing product, it is not the entire army. While you may think that using deicers is not rocket science, there are a great many factors that affect the results, with all of the nuances of changing weather conditions.
We are proud to offer you what we know to be a terrific product.
